Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Merriam opens light apricot and lemon bouquet with hints of green apple, almond, and lychee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced with rounded edges. It is also clean and bright for a Chard. The flavor profile is green apple and light lemon blend with notes of gravely minerality, saline and light herbs. The finish is dry and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would pair this very food friendly Chard with pan-fried Chilean sea bass or with pan-seared scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP
