Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay finished in 3rd place in our big blind tasting. It opens with an interesting and inviting Bazooka bubble gum bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild vanilla oak influenced apple with notes of cinnamon spice, melted butter, and pear. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite a while. The panel suggested pairing this very good Chard with rich lobster bisque, oysters Rockefeller, and chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 offers lush, luxurious aromas and flavors of melon, honeysuckle, apricot, pineapple and flint all held together with bright acidity, good structure and elegant balance, says Shafer Winemaker Elias Fernandez.
