This year it opens with an attractive lemon custard bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and elegant. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild oak infused pear with hints of butterscotch, honey, and a touch of lime. The finish is dry and it delicious flavors linger for quite some time after it’s gone. I would pair this elegant Chardonnay with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a butter cream sauce. Enjoy – Ken Winemaker Notes: One of our most profound sites is situated at 1,800 feet. The rocky, shallow site is exposed and straddles a high ridgeline. The wine from Upper Barn is known for its complexity and hedonistic texture. It reveals itself in luscious layers with each subsequent swirl and sniff in the glass.
