Wine Review: This rich yellow colored Chardonnay is always one of my favorite Chardonnays each year. This year it opens with an attractive lemon custard bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and elegant. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild oak infused pear with hints of butterscotch, honey, and a touch of lime. The finish is dry and it delicious flavors linger for quite some time after it’s gone. I would pair this elegant Chardonnay with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a butter cream sauce. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: One of our most profound sites is situated at 1,800 feet. The rocky, shallow site is exposed and straddles a high ridgeline. The wine from Upper Barn is known for its complexity and hedonistic texture. It reveals itself in luscious layers with each subsequent swirl and sniff in the glass.

Organic status: not organic
