Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from France opens with an inviting pineapple and vanilla bouquet with hints of pastry and lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty vanilla custard and pear blend with notes white tea and chalky minerality. I also detected hints of lemon, and pineapple. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Chard would pair nicely with butter sautéed pan seared scallops. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This prestige cuvée is produced from the oldest vines in a five-hectare parcel exploited entirely as a "monopole" by the Thevenet family. The average age of the south-facing Chardonnay vines located in Prissé are seventy years old. This cru du Mâconnais is a rich wine. Brioche aromas are expressed in nose. On the palate, the opulence of ripe pear is enhanced by notes of lime blossom and jasmine. It is certainly one of our cuvées more voluptuous. He will be an ally perfect for your fish dishes, crustaceans, or simply aperitif.
