Wine Review: This bright platinum gold colored Chardonnay from ZD opens with a fragrant ripe pineapple and toasted coconut flakes bouquet with hints of pear, lemon, and vanilla custard. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, zesty, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is green apple, chalky minerality, and pear blend with notes of pineapple, butterscotch, and subtle oak. We also detected hints of coconut flakes, Meyer lemon, and guava. The finish is dry and refreshing for a Chard. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with popcorn shrimp with a grilled pineapple salsa or with chicken francese. Enjoy – KWGTP
