Wine Review: This French Gamay is clear and dark purple colored with a bouquet of black plum, pencil shavings, wheat crackers, and black raspberry. It is smooth, balanced, and elegant with good palate coverage. It is also medium plus bodied with integrated fresh medium acidity. There are flavors of black plum, graphite, black tea, oak, and dried herbs with notes of blackberry and spice. Fine grained tannins linger for a while in the dry finish. This would be great slightly chilled on a picnic with country pate, soft cheese, and a sliced baguette. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a typical Beaujolais, exhibiting an abundance of elegance, with nice color and a nose that is fresh and fruity. Light tannins result in a very smooth, lingering palate.
