Wine Review: This translucent and dark ruby colored Chianti Classico opens with a cedar and black cherry with hints of wet stone and raspberry tea. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is slightly tart cherry and graphite with notes black raspberry tea and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity and its rather sticky tannins linger and last for a very long time. I would pair this Chianti Classico with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This Chianti Classico opens with aromas of violet and bright red cherries, layered with fresh notes of mint and cedar. Flavors of raspberries and ripe plum dominate mid-palate, rounded with elegant tannins. Each sip is framed by pleasant acidity, finishing with notes of candied orange peel, cinnamon, and fresh rosemary.
