Wine Review: This translucent and dark red colored Grenache from Gondak opens with a licorice and loam bouquet with hints of red currant and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced and round. The flavor profile is a gentle pomegranate and graphite blend with notes of oolong tea and red plum. I also detected hints of oak and light loam. On the finish, its flavors, acidity, and its dry and dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. I would pair this Grenache with lamb lollipops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Refined yet light on its feet. 2023 was an outstanding, long, late, and cool vintage in Sonoma County. This wine truly shows the high quality that Grenache can achieve. Refreshing strawberry, raspberry, cherry, violets, and hints of grapefruit come across the nose and palate. Smooth tannins and good acidity lead to a long finish. Fear not with finding the appropriate match. This is an incredibly versatile wine. Grenache pairs perfectly with roasted, grilled, stewed, and braised meats like beef, veal, pork, chicken wild game, and of course Pizza!
