Wine Review: This clear and gold colored Chardonnay from Domaine de la Riviere opens with a poached pear and pineapple bouquet with hints of oak and honeysuckle. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh and rich. The flavor profile is a quince and pineapple blend with notes of baked Anjou pear and lemon squares. We also detected hints of dried coconut flakes, mild oak, and gentle minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and are nicely extended. We would pair this Chard with cream of crab soup. Enjoy - KWGTP
