Wine Review: This clear and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Flowers opens with a black raspberry and light loam bouquet with hints of pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and zesty. The flavor profile is a spiced black plum and tobacco blend with notes of loam and pomegranate. I also detected hints of black tea, black pepper, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins show nice length. I would pair this Pinot Noir with a pork roast with rosemary and thyme. Enjoy - Ken
10/19/25 - This clear and dark red colored Pinot Noir from Flowers opens with a pomegranate and red currant bouquet with hints of craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, silky, and seamless. The flavor profile is a black plum and stone dust blend with notes of cedar and mild cherry. I also detected hints of gentle mocha, cinnamon, and herbal tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins build-up nicely. I would pair this very food friendly and versatile Pinot Noir with turkey, cranberry, and sausage stuffing on Thanksgiving. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A distinctive forest character marks this pure and savory expression of coastal Pinot Noir. Aromas conjure the moist morning canopy of old-growth redwoods—minerally fresh, and cool. Soil and ocean air converge with herbal botanicals and umami quality of tamari and pine. The palate moves with cool-season precision, its delicate, juicy red raspberry and tart plum flavors married to the earth with fine, chalky textures throughout.
