Wine Review: This clear and pale gold colored Chardonnay from Lasseter opens with a grilled lemon and pineapple bouquet with hints of lanolin, butterscotch, and faint mango. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a gentle pineapple and butterscotch blend with notes of pear and banana. We also detected hints of toasted coconut, oak, and lemon tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this Chard with garlic butter baked crab legs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine is our inaugural vintage of Chardonnay from the spectacular Trinity Ridge Vineyard. The cooler section of Trinity Ridge Vineyard offers ideal terroir for producing elegant, medium-bodied Chardonnay of great complexity and finesse. Abundant citrus and floral aromas introduce a rich, silky palate layered with crisp apple, delicate pear, and brioche that carry through over a lingering finish accented by subtle spice and mineral notes.
