Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Bledsoe Family in Walla Walla is excellent! It opens with a ripe black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of a touch of teaberry, cola, and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is layered. It features a yummy blend of ripe black cherry and dark chocolate with notes of black currant, coffee, and black licorice. We also detected hints of oak, black olive, red raspberry, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate fine tannins are very nicely sustained. We would pair this impressive Cab with a grilled porterhouse steak. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: The new 2023 vintage of Bledsoe Family Cabernet Sauvignon is a stunning example of a great growing season. Driven by red fruit, freshly picked blackberries, small hints of vanilla mixed with the sagebrush land that surrounds the vineyards. The mouthfeel is beautiful, generous, rich, soft, and layered, loaded with drinking pleasure. Another great example of quintessential Walla Walla Valley Cabernet Sauvignon aiming to punch above its weight class. Enjoy!
