Wine Review: This clear and deep salmon colored dry-styled Rosé from Boundary Breaks in the Finger Lakes opens with a wild strawberry and red peach bouquet with hints of wet stone and cotton candy. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fresh. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and steely minerality blend with notes of spice, watermelon, and gentle honeydew melon. I also detected hints of mild strawberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. I would pair this food friendly and versatile Rosé with a rainbow trout almondine. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2025 vintage may have been the best vintage in the Finger Lakes in the last 25 years. Our fruit got extremely ripe with magnificent flavors. This Dry Rosé is made with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that have been left on the skins long enough to give the wine a light, fruity color, body and a complex flavor. It can be enjoyed year-round as an ideal, lighter-weight pairing for most meals.
