Wine Review: This clear and medium red colored Pinot Noir from Domaine de la Riviere opens with a pomegranate and black tea bouquet with hints of rose petals and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, seamless, and dense. The flavor profile is a stewed black plum and black cherry blend with notes of currant and stone dust. We also detected hints of tobacco and blueberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine-grained integrated tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this excellent Pinot with a pan-seared duck breast. Enjoy - KWGTP
