Wine Review: This clear and hay colored Godello from Alvaredos-Hobbs opens with a quince, lime, and herbal tea bouquet with hints of white grapefruit pith, and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is creamy, smooth, and viscous. It is also quite mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a white grapefruit and lime blend with notes of saline, nectarine, and white pepper. I also detected hints of quince, ginger, and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Godello with Chilean sea bass with a lemon-caper butter over mashed potatoes. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Pale straw hued with green highlights, this wine opens with a fresh and vibrant bouquet of juicy white nectarine, wildflowers, and a touch of fennel, tied together by bright notes of lemon zest. Bright and energetic on the palate, lively ripe stone fruits are balanced by a subtle citrus pith and mineral tension, which provides focus through to a refined, lingering finish.
