Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a shy raspberry and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of cherry, kitchen spice, and graphite. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, and structured. The flavor profile is a forward stewed black plum and cola blend with notes of and blackberry and graphite. We also detected hints of anise, pepper, and cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and its moderate tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. We would pair this Zin with braised short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
