Wine Review: This pitch black and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon from Amici is impressive. It opens with a black cherry and blueberry bouquet with hints of pipe tobacco, black pepper, cedar, and violets. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a concentrated blend of red currant and graphite with notes of menthol and blueberry. We also detected hints of gentle tobacco, red licorice, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and bold and sticky tannins linger and last for a very very long time. We would decant this wine in the near term for a while before pairing it with a well-marbled cowboy ribeye steak or beef bourguignon. Enjoy - KWGTP

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, we had the opportunity to interview Jason Moulton and Katie Leonardini. Jason is the winemaker at Whitehall Lane and Katie is the Managing Family Member.
