Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chenin Blanc based wine from Pine Ridge opens with a white florals, kiwi, and orange blossom bouquet with hints of golden delicious apple and Italian almond candy. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, bright, fresh, and little zesty. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear, lime, and chalky minerality blend with notes of quince and white pepper. I also detected hints of white peach and orange zest. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this refreshing white blend with a pool or beach on a hot summer day. With food try it with an oven roasted garlic chicken. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Chenin Blanc + Viognier opens with kiwi, Meyer lemon, and fresh cut melon on the nose. The nose is accented by honeysuckle and lemon verbena creating a nice floral note throughout the aroma. Notes of peach ring, apricot, green apple, and mandarin add vibrant fruit complexity. The palate is zippy and refreshing, with a plush entry from the Viognier and a clean line of granite driven minerality. A hint of black pepper lifts the finish, which is harmonious, energetic, and endlessly drinkable. This versatile wine pairs well with several dishes, from light salads to seafood.
