Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Sangiovese from Silvio Nardi opens with an inviting cherry and vanilla bouquet with hints of fig, oak, and light coffee. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and lush. Yet also quite zesty. The flavor profile is an oak influenced dried strawberry and graphite blend with notes of tobacco and tart cherry. We also detected hints of craisin and mocha. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its sticky medium refined tannins are sustained for a very long time. We would decant this Brunello for a little while before pairing it with a pan-seared duck breast or with Jiko’s wild boar tenderloin. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red with garnet highlights, offering complex aromas of ripe fruit, spice, and toast, with a smooth, full-bodied palate, dense velvety tannins, and long persistence.
