Wine Review: This clear and very pale straw-colored Blanc de Blanc from Schramsberg displays many uniform streams of small bubbles. It opens with fragrant pastry crust and green apple bouquet with hints of lemon tea and ginger ale. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, crisp, and fresh with medium froth. The flavor profile is a citrus and green apple blend with notes of stone dust and white pepper. We also detected hints of ginger, white tea, and bread dough. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and are nicely sustained. We would pair this very good Blanc de Blanc with baked halibut or with garlic wine steamed mussels. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2022 Blanc de Blancs has lifted aromas of green apple, apple tart, and apple custard, intermingled with tangerine and lemon-lime. Its vibrant flavors of fresh grapefruit, golden apple and white peach bring drive to the mid-palate, leading to a clean finish with notes of vanilla chiffon and a hint of ginger.
