Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Dry Creek Vineyard opens with a black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of cigar box. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a juicy black cherry and black plum blend with notes of cedar and tobacco. I also detected hints of cinnamon, dark chocolate, and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and managed moderate tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This rich and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of black currant, plum, black cherry, layered with hints of cinnamon, cardamon, toffee, and toasted cedar. Notes of espresso, thyme, forest floor, and depth and intrigue. On the palate, vibrant flavors of black and red cherry, cranberry sauce, and plum are complemented by spice chocolate, black pepper, and a touch of toffee. The round, full bodied mouthfeel is beautifully balanced by fresh fruit and a long, polished finish.
