Wine Review: This translucent and garnet colored Zinfandel from Robert Biale opens with a plum and cherry bouquet with hints of cedar and florals. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and savory. The flavor profile is a red plum and blueberry blend with notes of red raspberry tea and graphite. We also detected hints of chalky minerality and a touch of tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and medium tannins are nicely extended. We would pair this Zin with coq au vin. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Greeted by the characteristic chaparral note of Stagecoach Vineyard®, the wine exhibits additional aromas of violet, thyme, white pepper, and black tea on the nose. Notes of black plum, all spice, slate, and cranberry on the palate. Balanced acidity with moderate tannins derived from the rocky soils from which it grows complete this mountain Zinfandel.
