Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega opens with a delicate nose of black currant and baking spice bouquet with hints of sage, licorice, and clove. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and concentrated. The flavor profile is a black currant and red licorice blend with notes of graphite and oak. We also detected hints of oolong tea, plum, and kumquat. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate sticky tannins are very nicely sustained. We would pair this Cab with grilled hanger steak or with a grilled venison steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
