Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Joseph Drouhin opens with an Anjou pear and gentle pineapple bouquet with hints of chalky minerality. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a green apple and Anjou pear blend with notes of chalky minerality and green tea. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this approachable and very good Chablis with a scallop crudo. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: An elegant wine. Brilliant color, with hints of green. Typical Chablis nose, where aromas of citrus (lemon) fern and even salty sensations predominate. On the palate: vigorous and lively, but in a soft mode. A lot of finesse and balance. - Véronique Boss-Drouhin
