Wine Review: This slightly hazy and medium purple colored Pinot Noir from the Santa Rita Hills in California opens with a very fragrant ripe raspberry bouquet with hints of pomegranate and cranberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, round, and very lively. The flavor profile is a black tea and extracted black raspberry blend with notes of pomegranate and rhubarb. I also detected hints of cranberry, spice, black pepper, and stony mineralty. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins linger and last for a while. I would pair this bold Pinot Noir with a duck confit and fig spread crostini appetizer. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2023 Estate Cabernet Franc dazzles with its superb fruit and effortless grace. Floral iris and violet aromas swirl with blue fruits and subtle earthiness on the nose. In the mouth, juicy blue plum and blueberry surge across the palate with enormous breadth and silken sweetness, while supple leather and intense mocha notes deepen complexity on the suede-wrapped frame. Never ending waves of milk chocolate, coffee, and blue fruit return on the finish and linger until the next sip.
