Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Mauritson opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit and gooseberry bouquet with hints of green pepper and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is vibrant, fresh, textured, and zesty. The flavor profile is a yellow grapefruit and tonic water blend with notes of white pepper, kiwi, and ginger. We also detected hints of lime zest, Meyer lemon, and green pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for quite some time. We would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with swordfish tacos. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: On the nose, there's a beautifully detailed aromatic profile of perfumed crushed kaffir lime leaf, young white magnolia blossom and crushed river stone, with an enticing underlying pulse of green mango, candied white pineapple and honeydew melon flesh. The entry is bright, energetic, and very inviting. On the palate, cleansing citrus zest gives the wine focus, while a kiss of summer-ripened golden kiwi carries the round and refreshing lift on the finish.
