Wine Review: This slightly hazy and very dark scarlet colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Pauillac opens with a fragrant blackberry and graphite bouquet with hints of black pepper, cassis, and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, rounded, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is a graphite, blackberry, and tobacco blend with notes of black pepper, oak, and cassis. I also detected hints of black olive in the mix towards the end. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins are nicely sustained. This wine paired well with my duck breast with a blueberry au jus. Enjoy - Ken
