Wine Review: This translucent and ruby colored red blend from Quilt opens with a plum and cherry bouquet with hints of tea. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a black cherry and cocoa blend with notes of tea and black plum. I also detected hints of vanilla and blueberry. On the finish its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this friendly and easy to drink red blend with coq au vin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet with scarlet red highlights meets the eye. In the glass, aromas of rich plum, blackberry, sweet hickory, and cherry come together with hints of chocolate. The palate presents a rich a complex wine with flavors of ripe dark fruits, chocolate cherries, caramel, and blackberry pit. This wine has a lingering fruit-forward finish with firm acidity and subtle tannins.
