Wine Review: This hazy and ruby red colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Spottswoode opens with a cherry and graphite bouquet with hints of blueberry and cedar shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a blackberry and graphite blend with notes of blueberry pom juice and cedar. We also detected hints of tobacco, black raspberry, green tea, and gentle minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined gentle tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with a filet mignon with a mushroom risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2022 shows poise with vibrant acidity fresh blackberries, raspberry compote, cranberry skins, and dried rose petals. Striking minerality lays the base for cardamom, dried herbs, warm cedar, and iron-driven earth. Young tannins allow a midline drive and hint at future power. Delightful now, this holds gripping potential.
