Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Beringer opens with a vanilla and cassis bouquet with hints of black cherry-cola and sage. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, soft, and fruity. The flavor profile is a red raspberry compote and black cherry blend with notes of stony minerality, vanilla, and currant. We also detected hints of black tea, sage, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Cab with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A lovely crowd-pleasing Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a bouquet of sun-ripened black currant, wild blackberry, and dark cherry, alongside hints of spiced cedar, vanilla bean, and a touch of clove. There’s a subtle earthiness, accented by fresh herbs and rose petal potpourri, lending complexity and adding depth. On the palate, the structure is medium-bodied, with chewy tannins that provide a satisfying, mouthwatering texture. The core of ripe black fruits includes plum compote, cherry liqueur, and black raspberry. It is complemented by nuances of mocha, dark chocolate, and a savory thread of tobacco leaf. Youthful acidity brings freshness and poise to the robust frame. The finish is expansive and round, echoing notes of spiced oak and dark fruit with a smooth, lingering elegance.
