Wine Review: There is no better wine to post on Halloween night! This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Mauritson opens with an inviting black licorice and blueberry bouquet with hints of pencil lead, caramel, and wet clay. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, velvety smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a graphite and tobacco blend with notes of blueberry and oolong tea. We also detected hints of acai berry, cocoa dust, and black plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate fine-grained tannins are nicely extended. We would enjoy this Cab as a sipper by the firepit. With food we would pair this excellent wine with a coffee marinated steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
