Wine Review: This opaque and very deep garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Whitehall Lane opens with a cassis and menthol bouquet with hints of blackberry and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, plush, and layered. The flavor profile is a blackberry and cassis blend with notes of marionberry and tobacco. We also detected hints of stony minerality, oak, black tea, black licorice, and mocha. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and bold and dusty tannins are nicely sustained. We would enjoy this Cab as a solo sipper or fireplace wine. With food, we would pair it with a Porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This 2022 Millennium MM Vineyard is a powerful example of Cabernet Sauvignon. Its color is as black as night and the nose bursts with dried black cherries black plums cherry cola vanillin black olives and hints of milk chocolate. Its balance and mid-palate are most notable providing deep and unctuous tannins alongside its intense fruit character. On the palate it delivers rich and sweet black fruits chocolatey tannins crème de cassis cedar toasted almond croissant and a dusty earth tone. The beautiful underlying tannin structure complexity and ample fruit will evolve over time and age gracefully for 15-20 years.
