Wine Review: This clear and pale ruby colored Pinot Noir from Lussier opens with a shy black cherry and coconut bouquet with hints of dried strawberry and banana. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, zesty, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a slightly tart red plum and black tea blend with notes of triple sec and black pepper. We also detected hints of red cherry, tobacco, and lingonberry. It is pretty complex. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Pinot with miso glazed salmon. Enjoy - KWGTP

A Visit To Virginia Wine Country – Fall 2026

The fall is a perfect time to plan a visit to Virginia Wine country. Ken and the KWG Tasting Panel have been covering the winning wines from the Virginia Governor’s Cup for years. Recently, our coverage has expanded beyond just the Governor’s Cup winners. Ken has been so impressed with Virginia wines that Theresa and he visited some wineries in the Charlottesville region in October of 2024. We highly recommend that you check out the six Virginia wineries in this post. We will start from the south near Charlottesville in the Monticello AVA and make our way north. Read This Blog Post
