Wine Review: This clear and light red colored Pinot Noir from Domaine Serene opens with a black cherry and light cedar bouquet with hints of cola. On the palate, this wine is medium minus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, delicate, and refined. The flavor profile is a tasty raspberry and gentle loam blend with notes of cola and black pepper. I also detected hints of red cherry licorice and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot Noir with grilled lamb lollipops. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2021 Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir is a refreshing and elegant vintage. It's made from 100% estate-grown grapes and has a silky texture that's perfect for pairing with poultry or duck confit. The nose offers rose petals, wild strawberry, strawberry candy, confectionary, Italian fine leather, and hibiscus. On the palate, it's maraschino cherry sweet with a light body and lifted tannins. It finishes with a lovely blueberry compote and velvety texture that lingers long after the last sip.
