Wine Review: This clear and white gold colored Chardonnay from Domaine De La Riviere opens with an oak and bartlett pear bouquet with hints of pineapple and caramel apple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pineapple and poached bartlett pear blend with notes of caramel. We also detected hints of stony minerality and white peach. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and lasts for quite some time. We would pair this Chard with lobster bisque or lobster risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
