Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Syrah from the Foxy and the Hounds Vineyard in Carneros opens with a mild blackberry and muddled mint bouquet with hints of licorice, olive, and florals. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, seamless, and rich. The flavor profile is a tasty black licorice and blackberry blend with notes of stone dust and black tea. We also detected hints of black olive and muddled mint. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins lingered before drifting away nicely. We would pair this excellent Syrah with a grilled bone-in ribeye steak with blue cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The nose offers aromas of clove and leather followed by a palate of bramble berries, cassis and supple lush tannins.
