Wine Review: This clear and pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Merry Edwards opens with a dried coconut and mild Bartlett pear bouquet with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is a Bartlet pear and grilled pineapple blend with notes of lemon curd and mild butterscotch. I also detected hints of apricot pit and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger and last for a while. I would pair this Chardonnay with a chilled crab cocktail. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine offers up a nose filled with pleasing aromatics, led by fruity and floral notes of tangerine and gardenia. The clean, crisp entry is balanced and juicy, with flavors of white orchard fruit. Accents of caramel apple, lemon meringue, almonds and nutty oak precede a lingering finish that is marked by a hint of warm apple pie.
