Wine Review: This hazy and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Cakebread opens with a shy black plum and black coffee bouquet with hints of violet, dark chocolate, and blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry and graphite blend with notes of spiced black plum and black olive. We also detected hints of toasted oak, cassis, black pepper, and soy. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and medium tannins linger nicely. We would pair this Cab with a beef brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers rich layers of ripe blackberry, plum, and boysenberry, enhanced by subtle hints of dark chocolate, baking spices, and toasty oak. The dark fruit profile is beautifully balanced by bright acidity and velvety tannins, delivering a full-bodied yet refined and elegant structure.
