Wine Review: This barely hazy and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Domaine De La Riviere opens with a cinnamon and black cherry with hints of dried strawberry and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, bright, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mild red cherry and wild strawberry with notes of green tea and mushroom. We also detected hints of juicy red plum and stony minerality. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and faint tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with a pork chop with a cherry pan sauce or with a mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
