Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Etude opens with a black cherry and mocha bouquet with hints of blueberry and faint Chinese five spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, graceful, and very east to drink. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and light cola blend with notes of cherry and loam, I also detected hints of green tea, spiced red plum, and craisin. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this very versatile and food friendly Pinot Noir with a pork tenderloin with a cherry balsamic sauce. Enjoy - Ken
