Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Gamay from Jean-Michel Dupre opens with a strawberry rhubarb and craisin bouquet with hints of potting soil. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a dried strawberry and light loam blend with notes of lingonberry. We also detected hints of plum, triple sec, and spice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and faint mild tannins drift away nicely. This is a nice summertime wine offering. We would serve this Gamay slightly chilled with grilled Turkish kofta. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet color with beautiful intensity and violet reflections. The nose is marked by notes of Kirsch, peonies mixed with hints of spices and licorice stick. The palate is rich and deep with black and red fruits. Traditionally pairs with meat in sauces and cheeses, try it with rabbit with prunes, hare stew, or gnocchi with tomato coulis.
