Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Robert Biale opens with a black plum and gentle leather bouquet with hints of mild licorice, wet stone, and blueberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is very nicely balanced, velvety, seamless, and a little juicy. The flavor profile is a black cherry and blueberry blend with notes of stone dust and black plum. We also detected hints of cocoa, oak, and a touch of tobacco. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed refined moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Petite Sirah with Mike's oxtail stew or Roy's rib roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Notes of black plum, cherry bark, violets, and wet slate on the nose. Focused on the palate with firm, ripe tannins displaying flavors of blackberry, coffee, lavender, and dark chocolate. Long and expansive on the finish.
