Wine Review: This dark scarlet colored cool climate Syrah from Anarchy opens with a black raspberry jam and black licorice bouquet with hints of kalamata olive, tobacco, and tangerine zest. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, concentrated, and dense. The flavor profile is a blackberry and tobacco blend with notes of stony minerality, black plum, and oolong tea. We also detected hints of black pepper, black olive, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this red blend with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
