Wine Review: This clear and light straw-colored Chardonnay from Calera opens with an inviting butter popcorn, pineapple, and oak bouquet with hints of honeysuckle and green apple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is a rich oak influenced lemon verbena and Bosc pear blend with notes of white tea, lemon pith, and cashew. We also detected hints of pineapple and green apple. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity show a lot of length. We would pair this Chard with lobster bisque. Enjoy - KWGTP
