Wine Review: This clear and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Domaine de la Riviere opens with an inviting black cherry cola bouquet with subtle hints of cigar box, cranberry, and gentle black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium minus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and delicate. The flavor profile is a red plum and oolong tea blend with notes of and tobacco and red raspberry. We also detected hints of cranberry and mocha. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with pan-roasted chicken with a dried cranberry and mushroom sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
