Wine Review: This clear and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Merry Edwards opens with a shy red cherry bouquet with faint hints of pomegranate, dried herbs, and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very round, and savory. The flavor profile is a gentle black plum, spice, and mild red cherry blend with notes of pomegranate and vanilla. I also detected hints of raspberry tea, cinnamon, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Pinot Noir with a Spanish paella with chicken, shrimp, and mussels. Enjoy - Ken
