Wine Review: This hazy deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Alpha Omega opens with a shy cigar box and blackberry bouquet with hints of menthol and cardamom. That is where the shy part ends. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with beautifully integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, layered, and a little plush. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry and graphite blend with notes of tobacco and blackberry. We also detected hints of oolong tea, graphite, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a while. We would pair this Cab with beef bourguignon or a Christmas prime rib. Enjoy – KWGTP
