Wine Review: This clear and ruby colored blend of Zinfandel, Mourvedre and Syrah from Anarachy is once again very good. It opens with an acai berry and wet slate bouquet with hints of toffee. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and layered. The flavor profile is a tasty extracted marionberry and stewed plum blend with notes of Heath bar and acai berry. We also detected hints of gentle oak. The finish is dry and refreshing. Its flavors, acidity and well-managed moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this red blend with Theresa’s homemade meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: Nose: Deep black tar fruit, boysenberry, bramble, spice, and anise laced with rustic Provincial herb. The Dirty Frenchman is definitely present. The tail end lingers with a scene of vanilla cream.
Palate: Deep dark fruit defined by blackberry, boysenberry, and cherry cola. The mid palate builds to a sexy mouthfeel with gentile tannins laced with spice, pepper, and hints of anise balanced with a hint of vanilla oak lingering in the background.
