Wine Review: This Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is almost clear with faint shades of pale straw color. It opens with a very fragrant white grapefruit and lime bouquet with hints of passionfruit and lychee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a passionfruit and lime blend with notes of honeydew melon and asparagus. I also detected hints of saline and lemon verbena. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. I would serve this quaffer of a Sauvignon Blanc slightly chilled on a hot summer day.
