Wine Review: This opaque midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Fiadh Ruadh (Fay-ah Roo-ah) opens with a mild black cherry and cigar box bouquet with hints of cassis and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, savory, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a cassis and tobacco blend with notes of light loam and black plum. We also detected hints of cedar, oolong tea, menthol, and bay leaf. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Cab with a sausage penne, or a rack of lamb. Enjoy - KWGTP
