Wine Review: This clear and light ruby colored Gamay from Marcel Lapierre opens with a dried strawberry and cedar bouquet with hints of red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, juicy, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a dried strawberry and gentle loam blend with notes of cedar and lingonberry. I also detected hints of stony minerality, spiced red plum, and a dash of white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and slightly grippy mild tannins linger nicely. I would pair this crowd-pleasing Gamay with your favorite carnitas burrito. Enjoy - Ken
