Wine Review: This slight hazy and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Sojourn is excellent. It opens with an inviting crushed stone, black raspberry, and black tea bouquet with hints of faint plum, licorice, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrate medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, rather smooth, suave, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and loam blend with notes of black raspberry and Australian soft black licorice. I also detected hints of black tea and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and its well-managed moderate tannins are nicely extended. I would pair this impressive Pinot with a pan-seared pork tenderloin with a cherry and red wine sauce. Enjoy - Ken
