Wine Review: This translucent dark red colored red blend from Spada in Valpolicella opens with a new leather and mild blackberry tea bouquet with hints of toasted oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and smooth. At the same time, it is a touch zesty and fresh. The flavor profile is a stewed red plum and red licorice blend with notes of red cherry and white pepper. I also detected hints of stone dust, Oreo cookies, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its refined tannins linger and last. I would pair this red blend with Italian briciole. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color: Intense ruby red color.
Smell: Smell with hints of red fruit and vanilla.
Taste: Warm and smooth to the palate, well-balanced with a well-rounded tannin.
